A very warm welcome with a smile, a detailed explanation for each dish, the possibility of making changes to the menu, and beautiful presentations on the plates, each dish unique. The little flowers added the finishing touch. 🤩 Thank you to the chef for this delicious meal! Thank you to the restaurant manager for his welcome, good humor, and wit! The Crozet Hermitage was fabulous 😊 Try it and you'll love it ☺️

Impeccable service; the restaurant manager is very helpful and has a great sense of humor. No problem modifying dishes if you don't particularly like a certain flavor. The presentation on the plates is beautiful, and above all, the food is excellent. Thank you to the chef for delighting our taste buds. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch there as a family this Saturday. What a great find! We're from Bourg, and yet we'd never been there before, but I'd go back in a heartbeat! The dishes were expertly prepared, generous, made with quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. The waiter was friendly, kind, and very helpful. He knows his stuff, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, especially about wine pairings during your meal. A little bonus: it's the first time I've had such a diverse cheese platter! Often you only find 3 or 4 cheeses, sometimes the same type, and not much flavor... This was a real treat for a cheese lover! A very nice and delicious restaurant.

After hearing so many rave reviews about this restaurant, we decided to try it for ourselves. And we can say that our experience lived up to the hype. The service was impeccable and meticulous, and the waiter was very professional and pleasant. The dishes were delicious from appetizer to dessert—a big thank you to the chef! We will definitely be back. April Update: We had another wonderful meal. A huge thank you to the waiter who refilled my glass after I accidentally spilled it; I really appreciated his kind gesture. 🙏🏻 See you soon!

After discovering this restaurant two months ago, we decided to return for another delicious meal. Once again, it was a delight from beginning to end, with each dish more delicious than the last (a special mention goes to the shredded veal with bacon-wrapped new potatoes, which was simply succulent, as well as the pear-based dessert). Furthermore, my partner accidentally spilled her drink, and the waiter immediately brought her another. We greatly appreciated this gesture and would like to thank him warmly for it. We will return again and again with the greatest pleasure.

14/06/2026: Brasserie du Français is a must-visit in Bourg. The food is always delicious. The desserts are a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The staff is very pleasant and smiling. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back.

Bravo for the exceptional quality of service (thank you to everyone, with a special mention for Alexandre, the sommelier...), bravo for your amazing and refined cuisine! 12/06/2026: An absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the welcome was exceptional: warm, attentive, and highly professional. I particularly appreciated the attention paid to my request. Although the six-course menu is usually only offered in the evening, the team was kind enough to prepare it for me at lunchtime. This thoughtful touch demonstrates their desire to please their guests. The owner personally attended to me throughout the meal, with a passion and generosity that was evident in every detail. In the kitchen, her husband and his team do remarkable work, offering refined, creative, and perfectly executed gourmet cuisine. The wine selection was simply impeccable. It was my first time trying food and wine pairings, and I was absolutely not disappointed. Each pairing was perfectly chosen and enhanced the dishes beautifully. Finally, the value for money is outstanding considering the quality of the experience offered. The Scratch Restaurant in Bourg-en-Bresse is a true gem, an address I recommend without hesitation. A wonderful discovery, and certainly a place I will return to with great pleasure. Thank you to the entire team for this exceptional experience.
