For me, it's a Beaune institution. The setting is superb, the welcome is always warm, and we have a great time every time. A wide selection of wines, and a wide selection in general.

We were recommended this place for the cheese platter, and I have to say that we were offered four types of cheese of undeniable quality... Too bad they were accompanied by slices of dry baguette (as if they had been cut long ago... and in this heat!!) and that the staff was rather evasive and hasty... I wouldn't go back...

Absolutely fantastic. The owners and waiters are very friendly. Nice wine list and the food is excellent. I highly recommend it. A Girardin enthusiast! 😉

A very pleasant setting on a beautiful sunny afternoon for drinking coffee; however, a little more friendliness from the waiter would not have been unwelcome; I had not anticipated contempt and condescension on the menu.

The Publican Pub - Bar a Vins

12/07/2026: Found this bar on day 1 of a 4 day trip, and went back every night. Great atmosphere.
09/06/2026: A very warm welcome, admittedly after a few minutes, but then the owner knows how to entice you to taste his wines. And it's true, he gives excellent advice. The food was a little lacking, but it was acceptable.
