Efficient and really inexpensive! This is my favorite Calypso! Always a warm welcome, good food at a great price, no credit cards but there's an ATM right outside!

We just left the restaurant. It was a great experience! We often walk right past without stopping, which is a real shame. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is very friendly.

A very pleasant surprise indeed. A small, simple, family-run Portuguese restaurant. The daily special is €9, and they even ask if you'd like seconds. Which we did, because it was very good, and the caramel flan was too. Note that they were full and only accepted cash; no credit cards.

Boulangerie Ange Le Haillan

01/05/2026: Highly recommended. A warm, authentic, and delicious restaurant. You have to go there to understand and experience a convivial moment suspended in time.
16/04/2026: Great hidden gem in Bordeaux! Traditional French food served in a very romantic setting. A bit hidden away, but follow the maps and keep going through the doors. Great value fixed price menu for €30 for an entrée, main, and dessert. But à la carte is available as well.
