We came on a Wednesday lunchtime in September. You have to show up early to hope to get a place! It is an essential address for authentic Basque cuisine. We tasted a plate of Serrano ham and a piperade (typical Basque dish). Hearty and very good, with a glass of red wine. Very friendly and helpful waitresses. The restaurant ticket card is accepted. I recommend!

El Bar du Marche es un fabuloso ejemplo de cafetería tradicional francesa. Tiene un interior muy acogedor y atmosférico, así como asientos exteriores. El servicio era precioso y las cervezas crujientes y frías. Situado cerca de Les Halles, este es uno que no se puede perder.

Perfect in every way, you can go there with your eyes closed. Whether it is the welcome or the very well served dishes..... unfortunately no more room (in our bellies) for a dessert

28/11/2024: Superb slow-cooked pork ribs and cod with seaweed butter. Very caring waiters and boss. Warm atmosphere even if at the end of November in the evening it is a little cold outside. But there, they have nothing to do with it :). I recommend!
24/11/2024: Come to drink a coffee, very very nice, friendly and professional waiters! (And as a bonus a covered terrace in strong winds!!)

03/08/2024: Good morning, We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Warm welcome, rillettes and toast offered for an aperitif. The starters were plentiful and delicious. And our dishes, a roast pigeon and a rack of piglet, were really excellent and very well accompanied. An interesting wine list is offered. In short, an excellent address in Bayonne
26/07/2024: Located in a nice side of town, this restaurant is worth the detour. Fresh and local products. The plates are generous and delicious. The manager is welcoming and very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
