The hake was bland, the sauce insufficient and lacking confit garlic. The fries were mediocre. This historic restaurant is clearly succumbing to the allure of tourism. Avoid it.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling alone through Bayonne for the first time on Monday, August 10, 2026. Very good, excellent service, lovely and well-located place. Bravo!!! A wonderful find!

Super fresh with products cooked just like at home and a delicious fresh salad (not from a bag), excellent breaded escalope and excellent lemon tart (fresh and not too sweet). I recommend it!

29/08/2026: I've been waiting five years for the chance to return to this excellent rib steak! An iconic spot in Bayonne! You have to experience it! And for those who don't know it... it's a real treat! Go for it, but remember to book ahead, it's safer!
