A warm welcome. Nice local cuisine. Good service. It's a shame the dessert menu is so traditional, even if it is homemade. No Basque cake or other local desserts.

There are many restaurants in Bayonne, and choosing can be difficult! At Bar du Marché, we've never been disappointed…timeless decor, a terrace overlooking a quiet street, a warm welcome, efficient service, excellent, home-style cooking! Homemade fries, a well-seasoned green salad, delicious homemade desserts…etc…We highly recommend it!

25/04/2026: An excellent restaurant that stands out, especially during the Ham Festival in Bayonne. Discovered by chance, the dishes were delicious. The son runs the dining room and his father is in the kitchen. Authentic French cuisine, flavorful and generous. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back. Thank you, it was a real pleasure to have a beautifully set table and dine in such a calm and pleasant setting.
