It's not haute cuisine, but it's very good. And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly: the owner, the young waitress, and the cook. It's a shame we didn't have enough sauce for our fried food. But the baked egg was a superb combination.

We've dined at Ibaia several times with friends, and the food is excellent. There's a good selection of sharing plates, and the meats are also very tasty. The ingredients are fresh and homemade. A special mention for the Nordes cocktail 😉 I recommend this tapas bar for a pleasant evening in Bayonne.

Fabulous. Came here 2 nights in a row. First night a rowdy rugby match day with other adults and the second with my kids. Can’t say enough about the food/ service/ drinks. The server sat with me and went through the menu to help me select pintxos. Wonderful experience all around.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We tried the fried calamari, chicken fingers, duck, and entrecote. Everything was delicious; highly recommended.

01/08/2026: 2024. Very good, typical Bayonne restaurant. The cider menu is fantastic! Omelette, hake, xuleta (a type of sausage), sheep's cheese. Fries aren't included... What a shame. They should mention that. We waited a while... Great time spent with family. I recommend it. 2026. No more fries served at all... Everyone very disappointed... I'm taking away one star 🌟
28/07/2026: The owner and the bartender are extremely friendly. Their products are local and very enjoyable to eat and drink. I highly recommend it. For drinks or food, it's the best place in Hendaye. The prices are also the best around. Go for it!!

18/08/2026: Very good and very generous portions.... The service was a bit slow and the bill was quite high.
17/08/2026: It's not bad, the place is a bit small and very hot, the menu is limited but quite acceptable. Very centrally located.
