La Rotisserie du Roy Leon sur Bayonne

An excellent restaurant that stands out, especially during the Ham Festival in Bayonne. Discovered by chance, the dishes were delicious. The son runs the dining room and his father is in the kitchen. Authentic French cuisine, flavorful and generous. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back. Thank you, it was a real pleasure to have a beautifully set table and dine in such a calm and pleasant setting.

Great service and very friendly people, very affordable prices and a very enjoyable afternoon on the terrace with entertainment.

Interestingly, our meal was a bit of an "event." We were seated perfectly on the terrace, but while we were enjoying our pacharán sorbet on the mezzanine, a very serious fire broke out in the building across the street, with lots of smoke and flames. We didn't think it was appropriate to stay there "bothering" them, so we had to go without our main course and dessert, even though they offered them to us. They treated us wonderfully, and our dog too. They were very concerned, and the firefighters and police evacuated the street. Up until then, the food and service were top-notch! I hope everyone is well and can continue working. We will definitely be back to try that duck breast and venison steak. Professional and, above all, very kind people. Thank you!!!! 😘

Excellent place. The portions are generous and delicious. The rillettes served as an appetizer were very good. For the ham and tomato, I would have liked two more slices of bread, as there were four of us. The ribeye steak was tender and well-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were superb. No complaints whatsoever. Everything was perfectly cooked and well-prepared. We had a lovely time.

Meal with friends Excellent place, we had the €50 set menu, which was exceptional. Homemade aperitif with complimentary toasts. Basque trou (a small glass of Calvados) served midway through the meal. Warm welcome, generous and delicious portions.

A real gem at Rôtisserie du Roy Léon! The roasted wood pigeons are exceptional, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and family-friendly; you immediately feel right at home. A warm and inviting place where you'll gladly savor every dish.
