We went there twice in three evenings. Excellent service the first night and average service the second. Very good ice cream, digestif for Dad, and cool terrace. The DJ on Father’s Day was unnecessary (support live musicians), but not annoying.

Ice cream parlor and crêperie across the street near the river. Excellent ice cream and crêpes with a large terrace by the bar and a small restaurant by the river. Reservations required for lunch.

Having come from Bordeaux for the second time to enjoy an ice cream sundae, I've never found such delicious flavors anywhere else. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it! See you next year!

27/08/2025: At the beginning of summer, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my family. The owner was very friendly, and we enjoyed a long chat with her during our visit. The menu looked absolutely delicious. Each dish featured local ingredients. I personally enjoyed a succulent goat cheese and honey salad with seasonal vegetables and goat cheese from a producer near Vals—it was divine. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Vals; it's well worth the trip.

Saint-Jean Restaurant

24/06/2026: A great stopover for motorcycle touring. The hotel is well located, with easy access and secure parking for motorcycles. The owner is very friendly. The rooms are nice, with very comfortable beds and are very clean. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stay at the Hotel Saint-Jean again.
07/06/2026: I highly recommend the Hotel Saint-Jean. Its location is ideal, close to everything, and there's parking. The welcome was warm, the rooms were spacious and air-conditioned, with a shower and toilet, and very clean. It was very quiet... a great place to stay, I would gladly return. Isabelle Oriol
