Saint-Jean Restaurant sur Vals-Les-Bains

A great stopover for motorcycle touring. The hotel is well located, with easy access and secure parking for motorcycles. The owner is very friendly. The rooms are nice, with very comfortable beds and are very clean. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stay at the Hotel Saint-Jean again.

I highly recommend the Hotel Saint-Jean. Its location is ideal, close to everything, and there's parking. The welcome was warm, the rooms were spacious and air-conditioned, with a shower and toilet, and very clean. It was very quiet... a great place to stay, I would gladly return. Isabelle Oriol

Hotel renovated this winter with excellent 160cm beds. Lots of charm, but the room was a bit small due to the building's size. Very well located and very quiet, allowing you to sleep with the window open. Very welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast room. An address to keep in mind.

An absolutely enchanting stay in the heart of Vals-les-Bains! What a joy to have discovered the Hôtel Saint Jean! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the old-world charm of this beautiful Belle Époque residence, nestled on the banks of the Voltour River and backed by the mountain. The hotel exudes authentic elegance while offering a peaceful tranquility, despite its ideal location in the very heart of the resort. The welcome was warm and attentive from beginning to end. The remarkably kind staff were always available and offered excellent advice, guiding us towards the treasures of the Ardèche region. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and full of character—you immediately feel right at home. The restaurant is a truly delightful surprise: refined, flavorful, and generous cuisine that beautifully showcases local produce. A treat at every meal! The location is simply perfect: just steps from shops, with a very convenient free private parking lot, and ideally situated for exploring Aubenas Castle, the Ardèche Gorges, and the Pont d'Arc Cave. Excellent value for money and a level of hospitality rarely found. We recommend this hotel without hesitation and will gladly return. Thank you for this wonderful stay! 🌿

An absolutely perfect stay from beginning to end! From the moment we arrived, Thomas immediately made us feel at ease with a warm, welcoming, and highly professional manner. You can tell right away that he loves what he does and that he truly cares about making guests feel comfortable. The room was spotless, very pleasant, and quiet. I had an excellent night's sleep: the bedding is truly top-notch, extremely comfortable, which is becoming rare these days. The hotel has a lot of charm and a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to extend your stay. A huge thank you to Thomas for his kindness, his excellent service, and his attention to detail. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
