Bissoh sur Beaune

We were a little disappointed with our experience. The food was generally good, but the wait was incredibly long, which detracted from the overall experience. Given the price and the wait time, we expected a higher level of quality. The ingredients didn't seem particularly fresh, and the dishes lacked a bit of flavor. It's a shame, because the potential is there, but the overall experience doesn't quite live up to the prices.

Precise and creative cuisine. Impressive wine list

Despite some negative reviews, we decided to try this restaurant, and it was one of the best dinners in Beaune! The service was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and they even have a nice wine list. I highly recommend it; it's certainly not as expensive as an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but the quality is a whole other story, and it's worth it!

The best Japanese food we've ever tasted!!! We thoroughly enjoyed it. The setting is lovely, and the owners are delightful, both in terms of service and cooking. A true delight; we can't wait to return.

A charming little bar often considered the headquarters of the wine school. Located at the entrance to the town and on the riverbank, it also offers light meals heated on-site. The small terrace overlooking the river provides a lovely spot to enjoy a drink.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere!

Bissoh is a special place and should be treated as such. If you come simply to fill your belly quickly, you’ll likely be disappointed. Dining here requires time, but if you’re in good company, the wait between courses is part of the experience rather than a problem. We were sitting at the bar and enjoyed every second. Bring an open mind — it’s a meal meant to be savored, with attention to the details and the rhythm of the service. This is not fast food; it’s a carefully paced, thoughtful approach to Japanese cuisine. Respect the rhythm, enjoy the moment, and Bissoh will reward you with something truly memorable. If you are disappointed by the quantity, quality, or pace, consider yourself warned. Bissoh is not to blame for your impatience or expectations. If you have the guts to leave a negative review, make sure you blame yourself, not the restaurant, and keep your ignorance to yourself!

Not a good price-quality ratio.

Refined cuisine with perfectly mastered cooking, an extensive wine list, and a pleasant setting despite its small size. The only drawbacks: high prices for both the dishes and the wines, and the smells from the (open) kitchen that linger under your skin!

A delightful and unexpected gem in the heart of Beaune! Bissoh offers a fantastic Japanese dining experience, but let's talk about the wine list, because it is absolutely crazy. In the best way possible! We were astounded by the depth and quality of the selection. For a restaurant in the heart of Burgundy, the cellar is world-class and a true paradise for any wine lover. Every dish was delicious, but the miso aubergine was truly out of this world. It was perfectly cooked, savory, and just melted in your mouth. An absolute must-order! The ambiance is cozy and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a break from traditional French cuisine and want to be blown away by a phenomenal wine list, you have to visit Bissoh. Highly recommended!
