Beaune is a Japanese restaurant offering set menus, but you can choose the number of appetizers and main courses. The house wine selection is excellent. The Japanese cuisine has a slight twist but maintains a Japanese artisan style, making it perfect for tourists who are tired of French food and want to try some thoughtfully prepared Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended! 👍

We came 10 years ago and had excellent memories. Yesterday's experience was more mixed. The value for money was average, and we were served an expired beer... simply replaced with nothing else. The sushi was still very good, but the price was too high.

Excellent but too slow; the chef is alone in charge of the entire restaurant. It took over three hours for the menu. The wine was superb, especially the M. Angeli's Lune, which was under €70 and a delightful experience. The chef has a mastery of the ingredients. It was excellent. One drawback: I find this tendency to push the issue by offering multiple courses at different price points on the bill unbearable.

Small Japanese restaurant. Spent €200,- for 2p. on sushi, small portion of sashimi, salmon tataki, water, wine & ice cream. Portions minimal, taste very nice, water €7,-, wine under €40,- you won’t find…but up to €2.350,-. Travelled the world and experienced, but think this is extremely overpriced.

It is a small restaurant that makes you very curious because of a Japanese chef, so expectations are high. They are very accommodating regarding bringing small dogs, which gives a nice feeling. The menu was quite limited, contrary to the online photos (no maki rolls), but that is not a problem if everything is of high quality and very tasty. We are seasoned sushi eaters and therefore have our own standards. Here, we felt that (apart from the high temperatures outside) the chef was actually no longer functioning as he used to. Of course, fresh ingredients and prepared according to Japanese standards and values, but the restaurant is probably not what it used to be. With a bottle of wine costing at least €50, you now end up spending around €200 for two people. For this, we had a small but good sashimi (4 x 2 thin slices), 8 nigiri sushi with a variety of salmon, white fish, tuna, and "fatty" tuna, and salmon tataki which was very tasty. Unfortunately, a considerable amount was added for extra charges, and in our view, the "value menu" system of 1, 2, 3, or 4 starters and one or two main courses "for so much" no longer works with all the extra charges. All in all, we felt we had paid too much for well-prepared Japanese food, partly due to the €7 bottle of water...

Excellent Japanese restaurant with a small menu and a choice of dishes. €48 for two appetizers and one main course. €58 for three appetizers and one main course. €48 for four appetizers... The suggested wines were reasonably priced between €50 and €65. Otherwise, there's a wide selection in the wine list. Expect to pay around €100 per person. Everything was excellent and very refined. I loved it.

The experience is seriously marred by all the extra charges. Almost every dish has an additional charge that significantly increases the final price of the menu. So be careful.

We were a little disappointed with our experience. The food was generally good, but the wait was incredibly long, which detracted from the overall experience. Given the price and the wait time, we expected a higher level of quality. The ingredients didn't seem particularly fresh, and the dishes lacked a bit of flavor. It's a shame, because the potential is there, but the overall experience doesn't quite live up to the prices.

Precise and creative cuisine. Impressive wine list
