We contacted the "Le Régent" café in Caen (https://cafeleregent.fr/) for our daughter's 19th birthday, which she wanted to celebrate surrounded by her longtime friends and university classmates—16 people in total. Going to "Le Régent" was a first for us, and certainly won't be the last. Ideally located in the heart of historic Caen, at the foot of the Leroy Tower, St. Peter's Church, and the Castle, "Le Régent" offers the option of reserving their upstairs lounge from 7:00 PM to midnight for any occasion or gathering with family or friends. For the modest sum of €50, guests can reserve their private room, which includes access to a large and beautiful terrace, as well as a large-screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, pool table, darts, and playing cards. A warm and friendly atmosphere guaranteed! The management and all the staff are very friendly, extremely professional, and very attentive. They provided us with excellent advice and suggestions throughout our event. For the food, we had planned daily salads, tapas platters to share (with cod fritters, wings, chicken strips, and calamari), mixed charcuterie and cheese platters to share, and mini hamburgers, all beautifully presented on slate boards. It was very generous, very tasty, and enjoyed by everyone without exception. For dessert, at the suggestion of "Le Régent," we were able to bring the birthday cake along with verrines and various mini pastries, which they kept chilled until it was served. From a financial standpoint, for 16 people and for just under €600 all-inclusive (private use of the venue, catering and drinks (3 drinks per person – alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, soft drinks)), we can attest to a completely successful and thoroughly enjoyed evening. Excellent value for money. In conclusion, for your private parties, if you want to make a lasting impression on your guests, young and old, then look no further.
