21/07/2026: The mussels marinière were okay, but not a generous portion for nearly €18. The piece of meat was good, but the Roquefort sauce was runny and not enough. A glass of Sancerre cost €6.90 and was NOT good at all! In short, two dishes, a beer, a Coke, and a wine came to €56.90 because of an error on the bill—an extra drink not ordered. Not bad, but overpriced. That's probably the place; we won't go back. The service was friendly, and the waiter was nice.
12/07/2026: We had an amazing experience at Le Bouchon Tourangeau in Tours. Before coming, we saw some negative Google reviews, but our experience was completely different — this place was wonderful!
The atmosphere truly brought us back to the spirit of a classical bouchon-style restaurant: warm, authentic, and full of character. The menu offers great choices of entrée, plat, and dessert, with traditional flavors done very well.
We started with the escargots, which were served hot, beautifully fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The beef bourguignon was the highlight — the beef was incredibly tender, and the sauce was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The steak with frites was also excellent. We enjoyed a nice selection of wine that paired perfectly with the meal.
The staff were kind and attentive. They may not be the most expressive with smiles, but their service was efficient and thoughtful — we never had to wait, and every staff member made sure we were well taken care of.
A great place to enjoy authentic bouchon-style cuisine in Tours. We highly recommend Le Bouchon Tourangeau and would happily come back again!
