Excellent bistro menu and meal. Impeccable service. Few people that evening, but we had a good time. Good value for money. I'll happily come back.

On a drizzly evening, there’s something quietly magical about ordering mussels in white wine here. The mussels arrive plump and sweet, bathed in a fragrant broth of garlic, shallots, fresh herbs and dry white wine. The sauce is light but full — perfect for sopping up with crusty bread. Diners often praise the coupled wine list too, suggesting the house does not skimp when it comes to pairing. Inside, you feel shielded—not just from the weather, but from the rush of travel. The staff carry a relaxed confidence, offering recommendations without pressure, letting you linger over your bowl of mussels and a glass of something crisp and white. In short: the mussels are a delicate highlight, and the ambiance is just the shelter you’d hope for on a rainy night.

The staff is pleasant and friendly, the restaurant is clean and the decor is pleasant. Regarding the food: hair found in the dish, canned duck, although the server insisted it wasn't, the skin was soft, so it had been reheated in the microwave. Judging by the dish, it wasn't oven-baked. It's good, but nothing extraordinary. €77 for two for a single appetizer, a pitcher of white wine, and two main courses.

A restaurant located on a small street near the castle where competition is fierce... A small menu and a blackboard with daily specials: a limited selection, but a sign of quality, homemade products. An exceptional semi-cooked foie gras with dried fruit bread (a starter available in a small portion for €12 or a larger portion for €19). A beautiful plate of sweetbreads and kidneys with homemade celery purée, a generous portion of mesclun salad, and fresh homemade fries at the request of a vegetarian. For the third guest, caramelized ribs and delicious roasted vegetables. The only downside: boneless meat (surprising for ribs?!) and a clearly insufficient portion for a €20 plate. The quality is there, but the quantity needs to be improved. It's a shame because it's the only disappointing aspect of the meal! Quality service and a server who takes great care of his customers. In conclusion, a great bistro address in Fontainebleau.

Located a stone's throw from the Château de Fontainebleau, Le Bistrot Neuf serves delicious, well-presented dishes with impeccable service: the waiters are truly lovely, attentive, and friendly. On the other hand, the prices are hard to justify given the portions served. Three small cannelloni rolls, a Caesar salad for €16, most dishes around €25, and desserts for €12: you'd think you were in a gourmet restaurant, even though it's a bistro. You can tell that the proximity to the château influences the prices, but it's still excessive. A place where you eat well and are very well received, but it stings when it comes to the bill.

Very fast service and very friendly waiters. The setting was pleasant. We had a beef tataki, which was unfortunately too stringy; the meat in the duck burger was too strong, but the sauce was very good. The sides were a decent size.
