Yes, according to other reviews, the peak time is 6:00 PM, and I can confirm that. Surprisingly, they close early, at 8:30 PM. I liked the music, and the waitress was very friendly. But the beer 🍺 and 🍷 combination is very, very good.

Fantastic experience at V and B in Château-Gontier! The atmosphere is always pleasant, with a wide selection of drinks and excellent advice. A huge thank you to Baptiste, whose service is truly outstanding. He's welcoming, friendly, attentive, and takes the time to offer advice with great professionalism. It's so nice to be served and assisted in this way, with so much good humor and care. I highly recommend this place, especially for the quality of the welcome and service. Thank you, Baptiste! 🍻✨

Great atmosphere. The shop is less well-stocked than the one in Narbonne, surprising for the first V&B in France.

La Cantine Restaurant

17/10/2026: Good food. Hearty portions and good value for money.
06/10/2026: We received a warm welcome despite the late hour. Seated on the beautifully decorated terrace, our salads were served promptly—generous and delicious. A special mention goes to the homemade foie gras. The gourmet coffee was excellent, with petits fours and a dessert, and the Paris-Brest-style profiteroles were to die for, according to my daughter, who had a hard time finishing them... but they were so good! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and we know where to go when we return to Château-Gontier. Try it, you'll love it!

Le 2M

29/09/2026: Easy to book online and excellent lunch with friendly service.
23/09/2026: Nice decor. Average food and bland dishes. Fish and chips, for example, is expensive for breaded fish and chips served without any garnish or lemon, among other things. Smoking is prohibited on the terrace. Although it's large and, as the name suggests, outdoors... Okay, I know, they have the right...
