We found simple, stylish French cuisine in a historic French city among the proliferation of burger and pizza bars. What a delight. Wine menu with a choice to excite the most descerning connoisseur. Highly recommend.

Restaurant in the former St. Michel prison Impeccable service with lots of humor and smiles. The dishes were truly excellent. We didn't try dessert, but we certainly wanted one!

03/01/2026: I went twice. The first time was for a drink; the service was quick and very professional. The second time we had a meal. €93 for two, including drinks. Very professional service. The food was excellent; the dishes were truly delicious, made with local ingredients. A very chic atmosphere. We were very comfortable, with high-quality furniture. The restrooms were clean, which is very rare for restaurants of this size. I highly recommend it. I regretted not eating there on December 31st. I ate there on January 1st. Go without hesitation! 😊

La Bonne Nouvelle

19/11/2025: One of my favorite bars in Rennes! The cocktails are really good, and great value for money! The coffee is also fantastic, among the best on Place St-Anne. The place is great, with plenty of seating on the terrace and inside too. There's even an upstairs! The staff is lovely, especially the charming brunette who works evenings, always smiling and pleasant. See you soon, BN!!
01/11/2025: A quick getaway to La Bonne Nouvelle in Rennes. Not knowing the area, I had a little sausage and snack with a friend and received a perfect welcome from Tommy and Flo. I'll be back 😊
