We found simple, stylish French cuisine in a historic French city among the proliferation of burger and pizza bars. What a delight. Wine menu with a choice to excite the most descerning connoisseur. Highly recommend.

Restaurant in the former St. Michel prison. Impeccable service with plenty of humor and smiles. The dishes were truly excellent. We didn't try dessert, but we were very tempted!

07/03/2026: Despite a nice setting, one of the waitresses was frankly unpleasant. The crepes were good, even if they were a bit lacking in filling. There's no doubt you can find better for less money in Rennes. PS: It's "carte bancaire" (bank card), not "carte banquaire" (bank card).

01/03/2026: I was so happy with our visit to La Paix restaurant. The welcome, the service, the atmosphere—everything was top-notch, and the menu and prices were affordable. The young man who served us, named Brice, was both friendly and professional. Bravo and thank you to him! His warm welcome and potential have made me and my friends want to come back again and again. And a big thank you to the whole team—you're the best!
