Bistrot L'atelier sur Amboise

A friendly, lively bar, with great service, providing good wine, beer and great snacks (like dry sausage). This is a bar that doesn't just take advantage of it's location directly opposite the Chateau, but one that works hard to please and satisfy its customers. Brilliant! Loved it!

A very pleasant setting, soft retro Anglo-Saxon music, and a super welcome from the hosts. They gave us good wine recommendations to accompany the lovely charcuterie and cheese board. The charcuterie wasn't fatty, and the local products were excellent. We had a wonderful time together.

We arrived late in Amboise, it was pouring rain, and we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar of L’Atelier. We'd read some reviews and you guys seem really great. We ordered a mixed platter, which was delicious, and tried several local wines that we really enjoyed. The place was packed, with a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the playlist was fantastic. If I go back to Amboise (and I hope I do!), I'll definitely return to L’Atelier.

A lovely traditional pub. A great way to get away from it all. Enjoy! The mixed cheese and meat platter is highly recommended, along with a good glass of wine.

A very nice place to relax and have a drink at the end of the day, perhaps with a local beer and a gourmet platter.
