Bistrot L'atelier sur Amboise

We arrived late in Amboise, it was pouring rain, and we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar of L’Atelier. We'd read some reviews and you guys seem really great. We ordered a mixed platter, which was delicious, and tried several local wines that we really enjoyed. The place was packed, with a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the playlist was fantastic. If I go back to Amboise (and I hope I do!), I'll definitely return to L’Atelier.

A lovely traditional pub. A great way to get away from it all. Enjoy! The mixed cheese and meat platter is highly recommended, along with a good glass of wine.

A very nice place to relax and have a drink at the end of the day, perhaps with a local beer and a gourmet platter.

Great place to meet and relax with friends. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is just what you need after a long hard day's work. That's why I make it my local.

A wide selection of wines, many of which are organic, and a selection of excellent local products (bread, charcuterie, cheeses). A very friendly welcome with good advice. In short, a very pleasant moment on the terrace facing the castle chapel!

What a guy !!!! Fully packed place, great atmosphere, one great waiter serving us all, one man in the kitchen. He was running like crazy but with a great smile and super friendly to everybody. What a performance.....it's all about the people who work so hard to please everybody. Very well done...17 Sep 2025
