Three of us went for dinner. To start, we ordered the prawns, although they seemed more like king prawns. They were also quite overcooked and had a very strong smoky flavor, making it difficult to taste anything else.
For our main course, we ordered the pork belly: it was tender and crispy, and we generally enjoyed it.
Perhaps, given the restaurant's reviews, we were expecting something a bit more in terms of the food.
The service, however, was very attentive. Although there was a mistake with our order, they apologized several times and even offered us some complimentary side dishes, which was much appreciated and showed they cared.

I went to Chamonix, France, on March 7, 2026, with a ski club from New Haven, CT. One evening, while walking down a side road in town, the smoky, BBQ-style aroma of a small restaurant drew me in. The chef informed me that anything smelling this good requires a reservation, so I booked a table for six online for the following day.
For appetizers, we shared the grilled marinated octopus, duck breast and one other. For main course I had the slow-cooked pork belly. The server was funny and attentive, and from our table, we watched the chef and cooks craft each visually striking plate. Since the restaurant is small, you must an online reservation. Bizes is a must-visit.

Hands down the best food we had in Chamonix all week! Everything was cooked to perfection with immaculate flavours running through every dish we tried. I ordered the Swordfish and the others had the steak and it was a very happy table.
The ambience was also spot on - intimate and charming with very friendly service. Sadly, we discovered this restaurant on our last night but if not we would definitely be back for more!

Phenomenal experience! I really loved the lamb with red wine sauce was the best meal I've had in all of Chamonix. My dessert was the chocolate with sweet cherry, that was a amazing Finnish to an amazing meal my service was top notch! Absolutely 5 stars I would visit again!

A must-try in Chamonix. Reservations recommended.
My third visit to my favorite restaurant in Chamonix, and it's still just as excellent. Remarkable efficiency in terms of both the food and the service, with the staff's smiles.
