Bizes sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

We had visited this restaurant 9 years ago and tried to find it again, but failed, so we booked online at what we thought was a different place but on arrival realised it was the same one! This time we sat inside and near the river view windows, the restaurant was busy, but relaxed and informal and the service was good but the staff were clearly very busy as it was a hot Saturday night. I wouldn't say the service was polished as in a top end white linen restaurant but it was authentic, friendly and fun. The food was great - not innovative or experimental, just well prepared using good quality ingredients and cooked, in our case of choices, in the Jospar oven. We had better meals overall in Chamonix, but there was nothing to fault this restaurant, it was reasonably priced and very nice - if you want a traditional meal, this is probably the place to go. If you want something a bit more edgy, maybe not. Due to no-shows, they do take 60 Euro deposit so it did add to our anxiety a bit in case we were late, but we weren't, phew!

The staff, the food, the ambiance: 5/5. We are in Chamonix for our 10th anniversary and had the most amazing meal here at Bizes. The lamb shank and the veal were some of the best dishes we have ever tasted and the view of the Arve river was our backdrop as we sipped, laughed and chatted with the staff. "What an incredible evening" we keep saying to each other. Romantic, cozy, personable and a step above all else in a country known for incredible food and service. Thank you to the staff for a memorable night.

A luxurious and excellent restaurant. Sitting right on the river. Which creates an amazing atmosphere. The food is of a high standard and the price accordingly. For starters we had a grilled fennel dish and a burrata plate with green flavors that were really delicious and were enough to share for 4 people. Mains - the restaurant specializes in grilling, the steaks are high quality and large. There is also a daily fish dish, and I had a lamb shank in wine that was really, really good. The desserts were problematic. We had a dessert of goat cheese cream burrata that felt more like sweet tahini and another dessert that reminded us of cheese with strawberries. We finished them but not the best we have eaten. Overall, though, a really good restaurant with kind and lovely staff and the recommendation makes you go

After finishing the Tour du Mont Blanc, this was exactly the meal I had been dreaming about. We started with the burrata and the corn ribs, and both were outstanding. Every dish had so much flavor, with a really creative fusion of classic ingredients and Asian touches that worked incredibly well together. I couldn’t decide between the ribeye and the lamb shank, so I ordered both and I have zero regrets. Both were absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and somehow rich while still feeling bright and balanced. After days of hiking, it was exactly the warm, comforting meal I was hoping for. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, genuinely kind, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. This ended up being my first real meal after completing the TMB, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. Amazing food, amazing service, and an experience I’ll remember for a long time. I can’t recommend Bizes enough.

Fantastic evening. We booked ahead as a group of 6 and were given a lovely table by the river. We loved the food (BBQ swordfish especially) and the service was really friendly

Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert.

Very nice ambient in the garden, under the tree, next to the river. The food is ok, but could be better for this price. We paid around 100 for 2, and we were not full.

Very very very good I give it 10/10!!! Definitely recommend!
