La P'tite Verte sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

03/07/2026: We had visited this restaurant 9 years ago and tried to find it again, but failed, so we booked online at what we thought was a different place but on arrival realised it was the same one! This time we sat inside and near the river view windows, the restaurant was busy, but relaxed and informal and the service was good but the staff were clearly very busy as it was a hot Saturday night. I wouldn't say the service was polished as in a top end white linen restaurant but it was authentic, friendly and fun. The food was great - not innovative or experimental, just well prepared using good quality ingredients and cooked, in our case of choices, in the Jospar oven. We had better meals overall in Chamonix, but there was nothing to fault this restaurant, it was reasonably priced and very nice - if you want a traditional meal, this is probably the place to go. If you want something a bit more edgy, maybe not. Due to no-shows, they do take 60 Euro deposit so it did add to our anxiety a bit in case we were late, but we weren't, phew!
