Bloempot sur Lille

Truly a place to celebrate something. We had the 8-course surprise menu for lunch here. All small and tasty dishes, beautifully presented and well-balanced. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff friendly and attentive.

This was one of the best lunches we have ever had. Delicious lunch time menu for €37 pp. No choice in this set menu however with food this good why would you want choice. The service was friendly, and unobtrusive and the venue was relaxed and intimate. My husband was sat so he could see all the food preparation in a calm professional kitchen. Nothing like “The Bear” and I bet this food was better! Wonderful. If it weren’t for the fact the menu doesn’t change for 2 weeks we’d be back tomorrow.

We had the tasting menu and each course was sublime. The restaurant is hidden behind big doors so not easily seen from the road. It is a popular place so book in advance.

Exactly what I love. Refined cuisine with local products, at a fair price with the option for matching drinks. It also has a warm, friendly atmosphere. What I found perhaps even nicer: you don't have to stress about choosing. You don't know what you're getting. Only how many courses. Love it 🥰

We were a party of four. Three stars for the ambiance because the air conditioning blew directly over the tables, making it uncomfortably cold. We asked for the temperature to be turned up, but were told that wasn't possible as it would make the kitchen too hot. Regarding the dishes—you choose between eight or ten courses—the focus is clearly on regional ingredients. For example, I was informed that they don't offer coffee/espresso because it's not locally sourced. Okay. The individual courses are very well-structured and taste good. Eight courses aren't enough to satisfy your hunger. We were only served bread once, so each guest received just one piece. The wine list offers a good selection. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The price-performance ratio is poor.

We had a fantastic evening at Bloempot yesterday. We chose the 8-course surprise menu with wine and beer pairings and enjoyed it from start to finish. Every course was special and a true explosion of flavor. The wines, and even the single beer with the main course, were perfectly chosen. Lucas took wonderful care of us all evening and finished with his homemade vermouth, which was delicious. To us, it was worthy of a Michelin star. A wonderful final evening in Lille. Thank you!
