A bitter taste in our mouths when we received the bill...the waiter had charged us for an unordered starter...even though there were only 3 of us...the mistake couldn't be due to overcrowding...

We received a very warm welcome. We ordered carbonnade, pork cheek, and Welsh rarebit; it was delicious and well-presented. It was our first time at Le Chat qui Fume, and we'll gladly return 😁.

A very pleasant, intimate atmosphere in a small, very 19th-century space, and friendly service. The local specialties are excellent and generous. The homemade fries, always worth mentioning given the plethora of restaurants offering them with varying degrees of success, are superb. Highly recommended, but don't forget to book ahead for a better experience!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The quality of the food was really good, the fries are really of a whole universe compared of the ones we usually eat. Thanks a lot for the service and the calm atmosphere.

07/08/2026: Excellent restaurant in Lille, very convenient on show nights as they open at 6 pm. The service is quick, and starters, main courses, and desserts are guaranteed before the show. The owner is very friendly and the chef is fantastic. A special mention for the grilled tripe, which is definitely worth trying. Highly recommended.
