A lovely evening, nicely decorated and the meat was excellent. The service was quick and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Excellent dinner at Boeuf & Cow. Very friendly welcome. A nice touch: the restaurant was expecting a lot of rather noisy English customers that evening and asked us if we wanted to reschedule. We kept our reservation and were offered a complimentary aperitif.

The starters were tasteless:
- The poached egg was more like onion soup.
- The Camembert and andouille sausage brick didn't taste like Camembert. The andouille alone had flavor. The brick was completely uninteresting. I think the starter (for quick service) was pre-prepared and kept in the refrigerator, so the flavors were neutralized.
The sweetbreads in cream sauce were good. It's just a shame about the touch of mustard in the cream: it overpowered the cream's flavor. We're in Caen, after all! Opt for Calvados (flambéed) if you want to add some originality to your dish! I suspect they use a thickener (chemical? natural?) for the sauce rather than reducing it...
The tripe was good.
The service was friendly and very quick.

Food as exquisite, great choice on the menu and the steaks were beautiful. Service was friendly and pleasant. We were late but they kept our table and were really attentive.

A chic bistro specializing in meat, with undeniable quality and homemade products.
The meat is excellent, expertly prepared, and cooked to perfection. The menu is on the higher end of average to high, at €77 for a 770g platter for two, which is justified by the quality.
However, we found the service a bit too rushed: we barely had time to start our aperitifs before our main course arrived. So, it's a very good place to eat well, but not really a romantic spot.
