Best bakery in the Chamonix valley!

On this last day of vacation, Sunday at 6 a.m., we stopped at this bakery. The soft, crispy croissants, with their subtle sweetness, left us speechless! A truly delightful experience! Thank you for allowing us to still enjoy the company of people who love their craft and put so much love into their recipes! I highly recommend it!

The service is always very quick and good. I highly recommend the chocolate almond and the chocolate Swiss. The Viking bread is also spectacular.

We've visited L'Alpain bakery several times during our holidays in the Chamonix Valley, and have been doing so for several years now. The verdict is always the same: we're never disappointed! Everything is excellent: the pastries, the sandwiches, the burgers… not to mention the morning coffee, which is the perfect accompaniment to breakfast. The products are always fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. The availability of parking right in front is also a real plus, very convenient when you're just passing through or on holiday in the area. A must-visit for a treat at any time of day in a warm atmosphere with a fantastic team. We'll gladly return on every trip!

Nothing special. Spelt cookie. Pecan and chocolate. Quite soft and crispy around the edges, which is a good point, but it needs a touch of salt to enhance the flavor. The service was also just okay; a smile was missing.

Very friendly and professional staff. I recommend the strawberry tart on a bed of vanilla cream. The balance between the strawberries and the cream is perfect. Not too sweet, and there were plenty of wild strawberries. It was perfect. Highly recommended!

It had been years since we'd been to Argentière… But nothing had changed at Al'pain… not even the owner (still as beautiful as ever) 😜 The bread is delicious, the pastries delightful. A clientele of regulars and passersby delighted by what's on offer.

This bakery was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. It is a great stop before, during, or after your winter activities.
