The best pastry shop/bakery in Fontainebleau. We always buy our pastries here because we've never been disappointed by the quality and freshness of their products. Their chocolate croissants are to die for.

It's a really great bakery, their turnovers are excellent, but I saw a new saleswoman who served the person before me, taking cakes without gloves and putting her fingers in her mouth. That's why I didn't buy any pastries that day; I didn't want to be served by her. The manager should keep an eye on things, otherwise the other bakeries are superb.

Listen to me carefully: the baguette is excellent, but the real bread of this bakery is Lucie. Her level of kindness and efficiency should be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. She serves sandwiches with the grace of a Greek goddess and the speed of a Formula 1 driver. Since meeting her, I make a 45-minute detour every day just to say hello. Lucie, don't change a thing, you're a legend. 🥖

This isn't just a bakery, it's an institution! Everything is delicious, refined, and indulgent; the welcome is warm, the saleswomen are incredibly charming, and the prices are very, very reasonable. My only advice: arrive early! The Oranais pastry, Dardonville style, is a must!

Had croissant and a sandwich to go. Croissant was very good and staff was nice and quick. There was a queue infront of the store.

Boulangerie Pâtisserie Dardonville is exactly the kind of small French bakery that makes Fontainebleau feel quietly special. It is not flashy or over-designed, but the quality comes through in the basics: good bread, proper viennoiserie, and pastries that feel classic rather than gimmicky. The croissant and pain au chocolat are the obvious starting points — flaky, buttery, light, and very easy to eat with a coffee before walking around town or heading to the château. What stood out to me is that Dardonville feels like a real neighbourhood bakery rather than a tourist stop. The baguettes are well regarded, but the sweeter items are worth looking at too, especially the tarte aux poires, éclairs, macarons, and canelés. It is the sort of place where you can buy one thing, then immediately regret not buying two or three more. Simple, affordable, very French, and a strong Fontainebleau stop if you like bakeries more than generic cafés.

Excellent pastry shop, delicious macarons, canelés and éclairs, the best bakery in Fontainebleau without a doubt, but the friendliness could be improved depending on the person who serves you.

First time at this bakery. We wanted two cakes and asked what was in the "sunburst" cake. The server looked at us, sighed, and replied, "Well, pear." We asked for bread and if there were any other kinds... same thing. We didn't even bother ordering anything other than the baguette and left... we won't be back!
