Boulangerie Patisserie Lepenant sur Evreux

This is a bakery/pastry shop that offers high-quality products and takes great care with its ingredients. The prices reflect this, as do the artisanal work and the quality of the products. It's a well-known and popular spot with locals who come to enjoy bread, pastries, and cakes. There's no option to have coffee on-site because it's on a busy street.

The window display was enticing, and I decided to go there after reading the Google reviews. And indeed, coming home from the shop, it was tempting... I ordered a set meal with a ham, butter, and Emmental cheese sandwich and a flan, and I added a wedding cake and a traditional baguette. The sandwich was very good, with quality ingredients. The flan was good, but lacked a bit of vanilla flavor, and the filling could use some tweaking; it was a little grainy. However, the pastry was very good and crispy. The wedding cake was good, but clearly lacked texture with its crispy layer; it was rather flat, I think, even though you can see the quality of the ingredients. The baguette was good. The prices are quite high, in my opinion... all these factors justify my 4-star rating. It's a good bakery, but nothing extraordinary considering the prices.

A quick stop, as every year during our visit to Évreux; the bread is excellent and the staff very friendly. The fancy bread is incredible with a piece of cheese.

So this ham and butter sandwich 😍. A real, authentic one, just the way we like them. In general, Maison Lepenant hits the mark; the pastries, ice creams, and breads are all delicious and refined. And they regularly offer new items.

For me, the best pastry shop and bakery in Évreux. Special mention to the custard tart!

Everything at Lepenant is delicious, but I recently tasted the focaccia, a real delight, so soft and full of flavor.

In this August heat, an ice cream break was definitely in order. Homemade and delicious, I highly recommend this lovely establishment.
