20/04/2026: I regularly eat at Buffalo Grill, and I recently decided to sign up for the loyalty card. It states that after the third visit, you get a 10% discount on your final bill. However, on my third visit, the cashier didn't think to apply the discount. So I thought I could ask for it on my fourth visit, but I was told there was no proof the discount hadn't been applied, and there was no record of my previous visits on my account, which is quite surprising. As a result, the discount was refused, and I was told I could only benefit from it on my sixth visit. I find this quite unfair, especially for a loyal customer. It's a shame, because I enjoy eating there, but this kind of situation gives a bad impression of the loyalty program.

18/04/2026: The welcome was exceptionally warm. I was hungry. I asked for a sandwich, and the owner, I suppose, suggested a croque monsieur instead, very generously accompanied by a salad. It was delicious. I don't live in Evreux, but if I did, I would be a regular.

14/04/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant for seven years now, about once or twice a year, and we've never been disappointed. Over time, it's become my wife's and my favorite restaurant. The welcome is always warm, the service pleasant and attentive, and we feel truly comfortable every time we visit. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and always live up to our expectations. We also really appreciate the atmosphere, which makes every moment even more enjoyable. It's a place we love to return to, whether for a special occasion or simply to treat ourselves. And above all, we'll continue to come back for a long time to come without hesitation! 25/02/2026: Excellent home-style cooking in a great atmosphere. Two things to know: 1- The restaurant doesn't accept credit cards. 2- You can smell the fireplace, but that's the price you pay for good meat.

25/03/2026: I ordered the €40 set menu. The starter of 12 oysters was terrible; I was sick all evening. Then the ribeye steak looked perfect, but it was nothing of the sort: more fat than meat, even more sinew than meat. Luckily the dessert was good, but after feeling so ill, I won't be back. Check your oysters and your meat dishes; for €40, that seems essential.

01/03/2026: As regulars at La Vieille Gabelle, we were particularly disappointed by our visit today. Unfortunately, the quality is no longer up to the standard of our previous visits. Several issues spoiled our evening: • Disregard for reservation requirements: I specifically requested a table on the ground floor for my mother, who has a knee problem. Despite this, we were seated upstairs. And don't even get me started on the U-shaped table for five people—it was absurd! • Disappointing ambiance: The upstairs room is shabby, extremely noisy, and the mismatched chairs detract from the expected level of service. It's far from the atmosphere of a "fine dining" establishment. • Declining value for money: The portions are noticeably smaller. The photo of the trout gravlax, with its three tiny pieces, is a perfect example: for the price of the set menus, it's woefully inadequate. • Slow service: Arrived at 7 pm, left at 10:15 pm... The service was slow and poorly paced. It's a real shame, but this experience has put us off returning anytime soon…
