A nice brasserie. The prices are reasonable. The dishes are well-prepared, and a special mention for the avocado soup: original and delicate.

We visited a couple of weeks ago. Food was gorgeous ( even if the salmon and seafood salad was a bit big!! ) Unfortunately, Le Palais de Josephine was a little short staffed that day. However, our waitress worked extremely hard to see that everyone was served promptly. We could not fault her even though she was concerned that we may have been waiting longer than normal. Thank you very much to all the staff for making a really lovely lunch. I hope to return one day. 😀

We went to Josephine's Palace somewhat by chance. And what a happy accident! We had a wonderful meal: delicious, generous portions, and homemade! A real treat!

After having dinner there with friends, I can confirm that this bar-brasserie is fantastic! We really enjoyed our meal. (See photos of what I ate: the warm goat cheese salad and the chocolate fondant.) I also recommend this restaurant for its affordable prices.

The welcome was exceptionally warm. I was hungry. I asked for a sandwich, and the owner, I suppose, suggested a croque monsieur instead, very generously accompanied by a salad. It was delicious. I don't live in Evreux, but if I did, I would be a regular.

14/07/2026: Positive points: - Welcoming staff - Quality cuisine - Pleasant setting Negative points: - Ordered a prawn salad and received two small chopped prawns plus one small whole one on top. For a €14 dish, that's a bit pricey. - Dishes are rather expensive, with a lot of vegetables and not enough meat (duck at €24 but with only a handful of small slices of duck). - Very slow service. I thought they were full, but in the end, few tables were occupied. We waited easily 20 minutes for our cheesecake, which, according to the waiter, was going to take a while because it wasn't "ordered in advance." It's a real shame that the dessert was already mass-produced with just a coulis added. In total, from starter to main course to dessert, the service took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
16/06/2026: Absolutely flawless. The service was top-notch, friendly, and attentive. Everything is homemade, fresh, and delicious. The portions were generous and refined—a truly wonderful place.
