Brasserie 1802 sur Besancon

A very good experience at 1802 for a quiet and cool lunch in Granvelle. Carefully prepared dishes, a nice wine list, and impeccable service. At €17 for the lunch special, I highly recommend it! Thank you for the warm welcome and congratulations to the whole team.

A truly wonderful experience at Brasserie 1802, ideally located on Place Granvelle, just steps from the Kursaal. The dining room is cozy and elegant, chic without being over the top, with a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and attentive, while also knowing when to be discreet: a balance I particularly appreciate. As for the food, the dishes are high-quality, well-prepared, and beautifully presented, with perfectly generous portions. You can feel the real attention paid to both the ingredients and the execution. I didn't have the chance to try the wine list, but it seems particularly well-stocked and should satisfy wine lovers. The prices may seem a little high at first glance, but in my opinion, they are perfectly consistent with the quality of the experience offered. This restaurant fully deserves its 5 stars. I reserve this rating for restaurants that have provided me with a truly remarkable experience, and Brasserie 1802 is clearly one of them.

Beautiful and well-maintained location in the historic city center. Fast and courteous service. The croque-monsieur was good, but the sirloin was tough and not very good. The price was fair for the location, but too high for the amount of food. Excellent wine selection.
