Brasserie Chez Maxime sur Decize

Very nice place, no wait to receive the dishes but it's worth it. Well-stocked and succulent plates, from starter to dessert. I recommend and would definitely come back.

4 star because perfection does not exist! Pleasant welcome and pleasant service. Attentive chef and top-notch cuisine and family atmosphere I recommend, without forgetting the peaceful terrace!

I went to eat in this brasserie yesterday and it was a discovery!!!!! Very pleasant service, the waitresses always with a smile. I was delighted, I recommend.

We ate very well, however we had a problem with a coke which no longer had gas, we pointed this out to the boss who assured us that this coke was not stale. We ordered another and paid for both. So boss not commercial at all and unfriendly

We waited a long time even with a reservation... The boss is really not nice at all.. On the other hand, we eat well 😊

After a 25 kilometer cycle ride along the Canal du Nivernais from Vandenesse to the city of Champverf. Just across the bridge we settled down at Brasserie ches Maxime for a cup of coffee. Super busy at the intersection near the bridge where there are no cycle paths. Due to the crowds, we did not visit the city any further but took the cycle path along the Canal du Nivernais towards the holiday home in Vandenesse. The route along the canal is a safe but boring route.

Formule du midi abordable (20€), mais sans réel plaisir (en tout cas, à mon goût..). Le menu du midi (rognons) était correct malgré certains "morceaux" très durs. Tiramisu correct, sans plus. A priori, le baba au rhum était meilleur, mais je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de le goûter.
