Lunch on a Tuesday. We ordered the set menu. The service was quick and the portions were generous; a special mention goes to the chocolate mousse, which was extra substantial compared to what you usually see. A restaurant frequented by regulars, which is generally a good sign!

I particularly enjoyed the homemade cassoulet. The service was quick; we were a table of 14. The price was very reasonable at €21.50 for a starter, main course, dessert, and coffee (without wine).

A wonderful experience! Everything was great. The welcome was friendly. The Royal cassoulet was excellent. Aperitif, main course, glass of wine, dessert, and coffee. Very good value for money.

This place is on a large square in the middle of the Carcassonne cite. We were not looking for a huge lunch but decided to have pizza which is unusual for us. Our pizzas were very good and delicious but we should have shared as they were huge. Not unusual but we just thought we were hungrier than we actually were. Our waiter was lovely despite being very busy. Lots of room to sit outside or inside. The loos were very clean also.

26/07/2026: A very pleasant surprise in the heart of the city! The welcome was excellent, and the waitress was lovely, attentive, and smiling. As for the meal, it was perfect; we thoroughly enjoyed it. A very good time, thank you so much!

13/10/2025: October 2025 - We tried to go back, but we were informed that the owner had passed away and the restaurant was permanently closed. How sad... This restaurant was a gem! • • • • • We're glad to see that this restaurant is still open. Our visit in April 2019 (see photo) left us with very fond memories of the place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! A great place to escape to when the weather is cold! We will definitely return in September 2025, during our next planned trip to Carcassonne!
