A superb experience with our three children at this lovely, typically Geromois restaurant. We especially loved the blonde beer on the terrace, listening to the sound of the stream! And all this just a stone's throw from the lake 😀

A very pleasant setting, close to Lake Gérardmer in a typical old building of the region. The decor is lovely, featuring beer brewing vats and a very family-friendly terrace at the back with wooden tables and benches. The dishes are hearty, generous, and local, with Munster cheese taking center stage! The service was just very slow the evening we were there: we waited a long time to order our aperitifs, then our main courses, then our desserts, and even between courses! The staff (especially in the kitchen) seemed overwhelmed even as the restaurant gradually emptied. We ate well, and that's what matters most!

Just steps from the lake, a very pleasant lunch on the shaded terrace. Delicious burgers, excellent homemade beer and lemonade, and friendly service. A great experience!

We had a wonderful meal in the garden. Be aware that the garden isn't level, and the table we had was slightly askew, which was a bit awkward for people with back problems like me... A huge thank you to our waitress (a young man with glasses and a ponytail) who was absolutely lovely and very friendly. It's always better to be served with a smile, and this was perfect!

Congratulations to the chef! My partner and I weren't disappointed from start to finish. And the staff were very welcoming. I highly recommend it for its well-prepared starters, main courses, and desserts. We'll definitely be back! 🥰

A very good restaurant with excellent value for money (€66 for 2 beers, 2 starters, and 2 main courses, with an extra charge for an additional side dish). The terrace is pleasant, and dogs are welcome. The food was good, just a minor point about the baked egg, which was slightly overcooked. Otherwise, everything else was good, including their beers.

A lovely, quiet, and relaxing place. We ate on the terrace. Very pleasant, with a swing for the children. The food and service were good. It was a bit slow, but we had the time. We recommend it.

Le Chalet Au Bord du Lac

17/08/2026: My husband had booked a garden-view room, but at my request, we were able to get a lake-view room at no extra cost! We arrived earlier than expected for check-in, and the staff kindly provided all the information we needed. This allowed us to access the private beach for a swim, which was a real treat in the heat. That evening, we had an excellent dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast the next morning was just as good. I was a little worried when I went to bed because the mattress was a bit soft, but in the end, we slept very well. The value for money is excellent, and we would recommend this hotel.
17/08/2026: +: Excellent location and friendly staff -: Very small room with a view of the forest. Very disappointed for the price, but we're staying a few more days.

28/05/2026: Fantastic experience at Brasserie Le Tramway! We had a wonderful meal; the dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. The welcome was warm, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant; you really feel comfortable there, whether for a meal with friends or family. The service was quick and professional. Honestly, nothing to complain about; everything was perfect from start to finish. We will gladly return!
