Brasserie Le Saint-Martial sur Angouleme

The broth was really great! Simple but good food. We enjoyed discovering local specialties like Charentais crickets!

Visiting Angoulême for the day, we stumbled upon this restaurant around noon. So we decided to give it a try... The welcome was impeccable, the service perfect, and the setting pleasant. And we weren't disappointed with the dishes we ordered. All this at reasonable prices. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent place. The food is very good. Today's dish of the day was salmon lasagna with vegetables and Reblochon cheese, delicious! Even though I don't like cheese, the chef managed to get me to eat it.

An absolutely lovely team, so attentive! Home-style cooking, creative and affordable...a place to treasure!!! The whole team came to celebrate my birthday with a sing-along! Thank you to Mailys, and to everyone, right down to the chef who knows how to make you feel right at home! A wonderful time thanks to you all!!

Dishes from my childhood. It was good, served quickly, very friendly welcome, highly recommended.

🎁✨️ A very nice Bouillon, the interior decor is magnificent. A minor point about the menu (flashed yellow: white would look much nicer, like the exterior ;) ). 🍽 A lovely menu with many choices and the option to add extra sides. It would be great to have traditional stews like Blanquette or Bourguignon! As for the food, we were disappointed with our choices. The soup was poorly blended and lacked flavor. The goat cheese salad was far too salty. The cheese was also cold. 😇 The welcome was very pleasant and friendly. Quick service and reasonable prices! In short, a great concept that just needs some tweaking in the recipes!

A very French atmosphere, a warm welcome, efficient service, simple but varied cuisine, and it's very good for a reasonable price.

Exactly what I expect from this type of brasserie: simple, good, hearty, and very reasonably priced at €40 for two courses, dessert, and drinks. The welcome is friendly, the service is quick, the checkered tablecloths are a nice touch, and the 1950s Parisian brasserie style is well done. We'll be back.
