I ordered steak frites rare, but it arrived very rare (luckily, I love it that way too!), but it was still good. One downside was that there were pieces of parchment paper in my dish. The Normandy tart was decent, nothing special. The service was pleasant.

Le Bouillon is an excellent restaurant with very good value for money. The dishes are tasty and generous, and the service is particularly pleasant. The warm atmosphere makes the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful discovery that I recommend without hesitation.

Visiting Angoulême for the day, we stumbled upon this restaurant around noon. So we decided to give it a try... The welcome was impeccable, the service perfect, and the setting pleasant. And we weren't disappointed with the dishes we ordered. All this at reasonable prices. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent place. The food is very good. Today's dish of the day was salmon lasagna with vegetables and Reblochon cheese, delicious! Even though I don't like cheese, the chef managed to get me to eat it.

An absolutely lovely team, so attentive! Home-style cooking, creative and affordable...a place to treasure!!! The whole team came to celebrate my birthday with a sing-along! 17/05/2026: Passing through Angoulême, we hesitated to go into this brasserie after reading some of the reviews, but we ended up eating there and we have no regrets. The staff was very friendly, the food was simple—which is to be expected in a brasserie—but it was very good. My husband had an excellent ribeye steak cooked exactly as he requested. If we have the chance, we'll definitely go back.
