Brasserie Le Sud sur Lyon

We were abandoned without any server checking on us for an hour, had empty glasses and cups on our table for more than an hour, and after getting up and telling the head waiter that we had been forgotten - had to wait another half hour to get our dessert course, and then get up again to ask for the bill after another long period of neglect. The food was excellent, the service was poor.

Two visits in March. a lunch for two a lunch for 10 people. in both cases quality of dishes guaranteed for all guests. Long service time at start-up and between points. average quality of service, clumsy room attendant. The price paid in the end, around 40 euros per head, seems high to me for the entire service to the extent that the quality of the dishes is greatly reduced by the service which makes the experience average.

Ideal location, nice setting. All the servers were very friendly but we feel a lack of experience: you have to ask to order, follow up, etc. Several service hiccups that I won't detail. In terms of flavors, it depends on the dishes. I can't order the tagine: bland! The pastilla is excellent. The meringues are not fresh. We're going for the Bocuse name, but it's not up to par.

Ugh. Not worth the price. Frankly, the tagine of any Moroccan restaurant is better than theirs. And the pasta was less than al dente, even for an Italian I think they were undercooked... The service is also average, sorry.

A good time with tasty dishes and desserts.

Truly a great experience. We took the «signature plats» and I highly recommend them. Friendly and pleasant staff, in the environment.

We came for the legendary name of Paul Bocuse but was not to our expectations. Atmosphere is awesome with the view outside. However, we encountered some issue wuth our food. We ordered sirloin steak with medium rare however it came with medium so they re-made it for us. Next try, it came with well done. Then they brought the 3rd try with almost blue rare. We almost gave up at that point but they gave it the last try. Luckily, it came right with medium rare but the qulity of the meat itself was not good and chewy. The service was good but could be improved by clearing the table promptly. We appreciated they offered to waive the sirloin dish. Except for the hiccups, we enjoyed our time there.

Second experience at Brasserie Le Sud for a loved one’s birthday. Unfortunately, I expected better for this second attempt, the first having been disappointing. The dishes are always just as good, no complaints about the taste. However, the presentation needs to be reviewed for certain dishes such as the plate of Iberian ham (which unfortunately arrived without its pan con tomate) and which was dressed like a child's plate. The weak point of this brasserie is the service, once again with a lot of organizational problems (the waiters went to the wrong table twice, particularly for the wine and dessert). The champagne chosen in advance was subsequently unavailable, plus it arrived really late and we had to insist on having adequate flutes for everyone. The wine we ordered for the meal arrived at the end of the meal... after several reminders. Finally, we had pre-ordered two Norwegian omelettes several days in advance to celebrate the birthday in question, and we almost found ourselves without dessert. Thank you to the table who sacrificed for us! The birthday candle and music unfortunately arrived a little late, after we had all sung.

Restaurant with a very good setting and very quiet, it is very good to eat there. Being a Bocuse brasserie we expect top and impeccable service and unfortunately this time we were a little disappointed. The products are fresh and good overall but in terms of taste it remains standard for prices that are still quite high. The service was a little disappointing, a waiter who seemed to be bothering us a little... Having tested the East before this one I was 100% won over by the Bocuse brasseries, perhaps It wasn't a good day.
