We came for dinner by chance and appreciated the professionalism of the waitresses as well as the freshness of the dishes. We ordered an appetizer, main course, and dessert, and the wait between courses wasn't too long. We recommend this restaurant.

My partner was under the weather and decided she didn't want dinner. So, I went to L'insolite by solo for a late dinner right in the heart of old Lourmain. The weather was stormy, so I couldn't take advantage of the terrace. Instead I sat near the bar. The vibe was both casual and nice. My server was lovely and helpful. I had a delicious plate with pork grilled perfectly and covered with fresh provençal truffles, served with local produce. Of course, I had a pastis before the meal and some local wine for my meal. I loved how a lot of staff from other local places came to L'insolite for social time and food. I always look at that as a good sign, and also it made me feel less like a tourist. It was a very fun vibe. I would definitely go back there again for meals and for hanging out.

Drawn by the advertised daily special, we stopped by at the end of October. Without a reservation, we were kindly welcomed. We were able to enjoy a delicious and original meal: confit pork shoulder accompanied by an excellent sirloin steak, which we thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert, a generous homemade floating island was a delightful way to end this perfect meal. Thank you very much!

Beautiful location in a peaceful setting, nestled in the French countryside. Friendly and helpful staff. Carefully prepared and generous dishes, the duck being excellent.
