Brasserie Oscar sur Le Bugue

A really lovely and well priced meal with excellent service. Gorgeous views over the river from the terrace.

Very good restaurant, fast service (perhaps a little too fast when collecting the olives from our aperitif 😅). The menu was interesting and of high quality, the servers were friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The only slight drawback was that the crème brûlée wasn't only available in vanilla; we weren't informed of this when we ordered.

We were well received and had a good meal with the set menu of the day for 17.90 including a quarter liter of wine.

Great food, great setting. A little slow on service. But fine by us

We had dinner as a family at the end of August 2026. The portions were generous, and the food was excellent. We opted for the €32 set menu, which offered a chance to discover local dishes. Around €100 for four people, including drinks and desserts, without holding back, is more than reasonable! We'll be back during our next vacation.

Finally, true values of French cuisine: excellent value for money and a very wide choice of à la carte or set menus.

Absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it. Exceptional service and a great atmosphere.

A warm welcome despite the crowds! The dishes are simple but very good, and the prices are very reasonable! I had a ham and cheese omelet, and I don't think I've ever eaten one so good. We appreciated the owner's gesture of offering us drinks for free because we agreed to move to a different table to allow a group of four to sit down, which seemed perfectly reasonable to us. Like most people passing through, he wasn't obligated to make this gesture. But even without it, our opinion would have been more than positive :) Don't hesitate to stop by; you won't be disappointed.

A lovely traditional brasserie with local dishes. A warm welcome and good service. It's a shame to have found a piece of glass in my plate. If they had offered a gesture of goodwill or a replacement dish, this review wouldn't have been necessary.

A very average experience. The service was slow. Very slow. 1 hour and 35 minutes for four people, even though we arrived first... So slow that people across from us were playing cards while we waited. And the table next to us had already finished all their bread before they'd even started their meal. The young waitress was incredibly lazy and didn't know her dishes, not even the daily special... The dishes are supposedly local. Yet the croques were made with industrial sliced bread. The meats weren't seasoned, the vegetables were mediocre. Very average food overall. We ordered two duck breasts, and they were cooked the wrong way around... Etc., etc., etc. The menu is long, but the quality doesn't match the quality, which is a shame.
