Cafe de la Gare sur Confolens

On the recommendation of one of our campers, four of us dined here. We had a delicious meal. One of the guests was vegetarian, and they even catered to that. This restaurant, located opposite Confolens train station, looks nice from the outside. When you enter, you're a bit startled (as a Dutch person) by the fluorescent lighting, but you can sit comfortably in the back. The food is really worth it, especially for the price! Really lovely menu. Calm relaxing place to have a late lunch. Staff were very friendly. Found the place by accident, not really expecting a meal, just looking for a snack really.

We stumbled upon this place by chance with our campervan. We received a very warm welcome, and they explained in detail what we could eat. Everything tasted delicious. It's nice to visit a restaurant like this off the beaten track. We highly recommend it!

It's a fantastic restaurant. Good and delicious food and a warm welcome. I was even made welcome in the kitchen. The kitchen, the restaurant (indoors and outdoors) were spotlessly clean. This is highly recommended (even if you haven't cycled on the Vélorail)!!
