23/06/2026: Group of 7 bikes, very well received by staff, plat de jour was simple but well cooked, with a buffet entre, cheese, dessert and glass of wine it was good value for money.
Surprisingly quiet at lunch….
Lovely lady owner was very attentive.
Great place for a working lunch.
08/06/2026: We had an absolutely exceptional time at this restaurant!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. The owners welcomed us as if we were part of their family, which made our experience even more enjoyable.
As for the food, everything was delicious. The dishes were generous, flavorful, and prepared with great care. We truly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end.
But what particularly touched us was the attention given to our son, Lucas. The owners' children came to play with him and naturally included him in their games. This simple and thoughtful gesture deeply moved us and helped make this moment unforgettable.
A huge thank you to the whole family for this exceptional welcome, your kindness, and your generosity. We left with full stomachs but, above all, with hearts full of wonderful memories.
We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and will gladly return if we are ever in the area again!

The Chip Shop

02/07/2026: Had a lovely lunch with friends.
I had scampi and the rest of us had cod and chips, salad, mushy peas and curry sauce. Thick pieces of fish with lovely crispy batter. They even do gluten free batter. Even the salad dressing comes out in its own little pot.
Would fully recommend and would come back again.

We found the cafeteria and we weren't disappointed by the welcome, the food, or the service.
I recommend you make the detour to discover this place.

12/06/2026: Stopped here on our way to Poitiers in the recent blistering heat. We were greeted by a lovely friendly waitress, think her name was Marie, who , after my school boy attempt at French replied in perfect English! I had the steak and chips which was cooked to perfection, wife and future daughter in law had the chicken and chips which were well portioned and tasty, while the son had the black pudding sausages which were very tasty as well. Service was spot on , enough time to enjoy a drink and food and a nice gap before dessert , tarte tatin which was lovely. Price was reasonable and value for money. Would happily visit here again if we ever venture out this way , merci beaucoup !
12/06/2026: The place is particularly ugly. This wouldn't be so bad if the atmosphere made up for it. However, the owner is very unpleasant, and his obvious lack of interest in his work seems to rub off on his entire team, even the newest recruits. To have such a privileged position, practically a monopoly no less, and yet show such contempt for his customers is shameful.

12/04/2026: A pleasant surprise at this charming little village hotel.
Very clean and cozy.
The room was spacious and comfortable, although the bed was a bit firm for us.
The bar and restaurant were pleasant and offered generous portions.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing with very limited choices.

25/08/2024: Coming for only 2 tacos, we had to wait more than 40 minutes amid the screams of what we think was one of the cooks but also the receiver of orders. This same lady when ordering did not ask for the sauces, perhaps this was an oversight but during the 40 minutes of waiting she could have noticed it. You should also know that the prices are exorbitant compared to the quality, €19 for only 2 medium tacos without fries! Arriving at the tasting which took a long time, we were mixed with the taste of the tacos. Too little cheese sauce, and the pieces of meat were huge as if the meat had not been cut... In short, this experience made us waste money unnecessarily, time and made us feel unwell. which ended in the toilet we will spare you the details...
I don't recommend running away!

Will definitely return later in year especially when we are next ion the area.
13/08/2024: Cuisine des Philippinnes, service rapide nems et bakna faits maison. Serveuse charmante. Ne vous arrêtez pas à la deco peu typique des philippines. Autre point, même si le budget est élevé, la nourriture est délicieuse et servie en quantité astronomique ! Bon appétit !
