Cafe De La Paix sur Saint-Calais

The facade isn't much to look at. We stopped by because we were staying in a nearby gîte, and the feeling inside starts to show. The restaurant is full of pleasant surprises, with a delightful menu. The staff is efficient and friendly. The only downside is that the chef should emphasize the spices in the exotic dishes. Otherwise, it's very good! Go for it!!! A real treat! 👍

Discovered thanks to Google reviews, this little restaurant is really lovely, with generous portions, tasty food, and a pleasing presentation. The two young owners are very friendly, and we had a pleasant time there. PS: I booked for two on a Wednesday at lunchtime, which was great because it was almost full! I highly recommend Café de la Paix!! We must support young people who are doing good work; come and enjoy a meal at Café de la Paix!!

I've been going to Café de la Paix for three years now, either with colleagues or clients. Lunch or dinner, weekdays. From the outside, Café de la Paix doesn't look like much, that's for sure. But the real draw is the food, served inside or on the terrace when the weather's nice. A concise yet varied menu that changes regularly. Something for everyone. The service is quick, but you can linger if you like. The young couple who own it are very professional, friendly, and welcoming. They explain each dish individually, with great patience. And the prices are quite reasonable. A well-deserved success; it's wise to make a reservation.
