La Banque sur Saint-Calais

I had lunch on the terrace today. A great deal: a set menu for 15 euros with a starter, main course, and dessert, with a choice of two options. Everything was really delicious and well-prepared. The setting was pleasant and the welcome friendly. I'll be back... It's a shame I don't live nearby, otherwise I'd come more often.

It was a carnival weekend so possibly our experience isn't typical! Initially good service but when we returned, we had no service & left!

We stopped for the night in a nearby village. We found this brasserie and we're so glad we did. The food is delicious (my husband had half a chicken, and I heard about it for two days afterward). My daughter and I had fantastic burgers. The service was very pleasant and the staff were friendly. I recommend it 1000%. We'll definitely stop by again next time we're in the area.

In the square in St-Calais, I had the opportunity to eat on the terrace. The menu was decent, classic bistro fare. However, the service was a bit slow, which is a shame. The desserts were good, and the names were original!

Eating on the terrace was very pleasant, the meal was very good and generous at reasonable prices. No pizzas, just so you know... only tap water at the beginning of the meal, which wasn't cold, otherwise no complaints.

Pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in the countryside open on August 15th. The staff were incredibly friendly. And the portions were so generous! Everything was perfect. The foie gras was a particular favorite, absolutely delicious. The shredded beef steak was a real treat. A great stop on our way back from our holiday in Brittany.

A must-visit in St. Calais! Excellent service, generous portions, and delicious food. Highly recommended! 👍👍

Worth a detour. Very good value for money.
