Café De Paris sur Chateauroux

Prices are skyrocketing, the staff is never the same, they're unresponsive, you have to wait 30 minutes before being served... the place isn't what it used to be, unfortunately.

When we arrived, there was no greeting; all the servers walked right past us without speaking, creating a frosty atmosphere. The order-taking process with Asena was frightening. He only brought us half our order. And he repeatedly asked us for our drinks... there were only two of us... Fortunately, the food was good, and the regulars were there to bring some warmth to this brasserie; otherwise, there was no team spirit, and the coldness between them was palpable. I would like to thank a young, blonde, blue-eyed employee who was very kind. Despite everything, I found the atmosphere better last summer. Don't avoid this restaurant; it does have many good qualities, and the staff changes frequently. And a big plus for the very good food.

We ate well, however, the service from Chiara left much to be desired. She didn't greet customers and only smiled when it was time to pay. We were very disappointed; we're not used to this kind of service here.

What a buzzing and vibrant bar / café / restaurant. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and were made very welcome by the staff. They even changed the TV channel so we could watch the six nations rugby. The prices were very fair, and the menu extensive. We've revisited this wonderful establishment again this lunchtime and enjoyed the same level of friendly welcome, and this time were treated to a fantastic lunch. Great ambience and not overly expensive. Credit to the team for their continued first class service. Although we try to communicate in French as best we can, English is spoken, and the menu can be obtained in English via a QR code. The quality of the food was great, with the portion size plentiful. Give it a try, as you won't be disappointed.
