The owner and staff are very friendly, the dishes are delicious and original, and dogs are welcome. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday at lunchtime, and again today at lunchtime, we ate at Café du Port. The service was excellent, the mussels and fries delicious, the dessert superb, and the welcome and service very pleasant. I highly recommend it! The prices are reasonable! You can go there without hesitation!

Hello everyone, we visited this establishment for the first time on June 29, 2026. We received a very warm welcome. The numerous waitresses were all very professional, the owner was incredibly kind and didn't hesitate to chat despite the crowd, the decor was tasteful, the dishes were served without too much of a wait (I recommend the gourmet coffee, see the photo), and the service was impeccable. Our waitress was exceptionally kind and deserved her generous tip. I highly recommend it.

Excellent brasserie, super welcome, quick and efficient service. Very well located. Delicious Norman crêpe and an amazing torgoule (a type of savory tart)!! I highly recommend it; the quality is unbeatable, I'll be back. Kudos to the waitresses who always have a smile on their faces.

A restaurant open continuously from 2 PM to 6 PM. Good food with homemade fries. I recommend it.

Google Review — Café du Port, Cherbourg We've eaten at Café du Port five times and, until now, we've always been satisfied. Unfortunately, our fifth experience was significantly less successful, hence our 3-star rating. The Caesar salad was wilted, and the bread was cold and not crispy. We pointed this out to the waitresses, and a new salad was brought to us. Unfortunately, the salad still wasn't very fresh, and the chicken wasn't crispy. As for the fish and chips, the fish batter was extremely greasy, as if it had absorbed far too much oil. We really felt that the oil probably wasn't at the right temperature during cooking. What also disappointed us was that after reporting these issues, no compensation was offered. The only response we received was: "Sorry it didn't work out for you." It's a shame, because we had visited four times before and were very satisfied. We hope this experience was exceptional and that the restaurant's usual high quality will be maintained on our next visit.
