Exceptional hot chocolate from a Michelin-starred chef, exceptional Basque cake, and flexible staff who accommodated last-minute drink changes.

An unusual waiter, you either love him or hate him 😂 but he's fantastic, plus he has the best ice cream in the Basque Country, homemade iced teas that are equally amazing, and an incredible cheesecake too.

A typical Basque spot with very friendly and helpful staff! The prices aren't excessive, and the tapas are really good! All in a pleasant setting and a quiet little village.

The waiter is very friendly, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect.

After a 4-hour hike, I settled down on the terrace. I ordered a mint water and homemade ice cream: an absolutely delicious caramel sundae! 🍨 As I was leaving, still a little disoriented after this lovely day, I dropped my keys down a drain…😅 I arrived in a complete panic and asked the chef for help. Without hesitation, he kindly helped me retrieve my keys. A huge thank you for your kindness and help! And by the way, it was one of the best ice creams I've ever had in a restaurant. A great restaurant offering delicious dishes made with local ingredients. We received excellent service from staff who clearly demonstrate their passion for local produce with humor and genuine warmth. PS: The restaurant's current rating of 3.8 doesn't reflect the truly wonderful experience we had. 🙂

Very friendly waiter, excellent food!

We had a wonderful time together, discovering purely local products: homemade tortilla, Basque black pudding from Martin, and a truly delicious sausage and chorizo. The ham and smoked cheese were simply amazing! And all this with exceptional, attentive service from people who love to share their passion and are passionate about their work. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Ainhoa.
