We didn't stay at this hotel, but we ate there twice. Our gîte (self-catering accommodation) is located not far away in Ainhoa, about 2 km away. We were recommended by our hosts.
A truly wonderful place where we ate very, very well, and especially homemade food. The specialty is paella made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
A very good menu.
(The homemade trout fillet platter. The platter of Basque ham and pâté made with pork raised on their farm. The baby squid and homemade fries. The lamb was excellent. The albacore tuna salad was a delight.)
This Logis restaurant is truly recommended; a wonderful discovery in the Basque Country and near the Spanish border. The owner is very pleasant, as are the waitresses, and my mother-in-law is always behind the bar—a truly lovely place.

05/05/2026: The hotel is beautifully situated with well kept gardens and a great view of the mountains. Very quiet.
The staff team were warm, helpful and efficient.
Breakfast was very good and there was great cooking at dinner.

13/05/2026: A wonderful stay at this family-run hotel, in a setting that is equally charming. The staff were incredibly attentive and the services were of very high quality. The gourmet dinner with wine pairing was excellent. We will be back!

09/09/2026: So what more can I say than this place is to be avoided, even fled from. Forget about politeness. Forget about a smile. The service is equally nonexistent. There isn't a menu, so you have to choose for yourself, and as for prices, you're cheaper to have a coffee under the Eiffel Tower than in this bar.
Now, for a truly authentic experience, just look at the restrooms. It says it all. It's a reflection of the people who work there, apparently.
And then we wonder why so many cafes are closing down.
28/08/2026: The food was decent but the portions were meager. The children's menu included one sirloin steak and fries for €12. The local meat platter for an adult consisted of one thin sausage, one piece of sirloin, a generous amount of fries, and a small vegetable scramble; hardly any meat, and it cost €20. The worst part, without a doubt, was the service; except for one of the waitresses, a senior woman, the rest were inattentive and rather rude. I absolutely do not recommend it.

30/05/2024: Restaurant magnifique très cocooning, on s'y sent merveilleusement bien. L'accueil est formidable, le repas était fabuleux. Les assiettes sont copieuses et de qualité. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Merci infiniment.
