Very nice cafe. Very kind and professional owner and waitress. They are the only ones who allowed 1 drink at 7 p.m. the other establishments refused because they favored the restaurant

The Café Français is an establishment that I have known for 40 years and which has punctuated many evenings spent with my father. It’s a place full of memories for me.
The recent renovation of the restaurant brings new life to this café-brasserie, and the beautiful terrace located in the heart of La Bourboule offers a pleasant setting to enjoy a meal or a coffee in the open air.
However, I must say that the reception could still be improved. Although the previous manager, Martine, has left the premises, the establishment still lacks a warm smile, which would be really appreciated by customers.
Overall, Café Français remains a good place to visit, especially for those looking for a bit of nostalgia and a nice setting!

I had a great evening in this restaurant. The welcome was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. The service was impeccable throughout the meal, with smiling and professional staff. Each dish was delicious and prepared with quality ingredients. A culinary experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent meal in a friendly atmosphere. I will come back without hesitation!

We came to La Bourboule for around ten days, and we had lunch and dinner there five times. :D
By far one of the best restaurants in Bouboule. The dishes are very good, the homemade desserts and the waiters very pleasant. Simple cuisine, pleasant surroundings. We recommend the Auvergne specialties (Saint Nectarade and Bourboulienne escalope). Special mention to Eddy who is adorable and gave us good advice.

Disappointed by the truffade in porridge, not much cheese.
Very good sirloin, fish leaves something to be desired, not very plentiful, fortunately we took extra fries for each person.
Very good dessert.
Friendly waiters and the gentleman to settle the bill.
Too bad about the truffade.
