Café Jean sur Roubaix

A small brasserie in Roubaix, with a lovely, impromptu sunny terrace. The chicken with Maroilles cheese was a generous portion, and the black cod with butter was delicious! Not to mention the homemade fries and mayonnaise. I highly recommend this restaurant with its very friendly staff.

Passing through the north, we wanted a place to eat some good local specialties. We certainly found it! The owner, Amrane, has a contagious good humor and goes out of his way to ensure his customers are happy. A very good place!

A wonderful discovery! Make time to visit places like this, they're becoming increasingly rare! Nothing is prefabricated, everything is warm and welcoming. A Welsh rarebit with a real thick slice of ham and homemade fries! I had a great time.

First and foremost, you should know that this place is a truly magical experience: the welcome is fantastic, the homemade dishes are delicious! The owner will tell you lovely stories, and you'll be immediately charmed by his good humor and sincerity...go for it, it's an excellent place! Don't be intimidated; there's a lot of talk, but the portions are meager and the prices are far too high for the quantity and quality served.
