Café Leffe sur La Rochelle

We ate here several times while we were in La Rochelle and each time was wonderful and memorable. The weather was crazy that week so we enjoyed sunny days that were fun and relaxing, overcast days, and one particular day there was a serious downpour and every person in the area ran into this cafe for shelter to the point that there was standing room only. The staff did their utmost to make sure everyone had a drink and this merry band of weather-refugees turned into an international party of merry souls. They do the best mussels with this smokey flavor that I’ve had anywhere in the world! Fabulous place to get a drink, have a meal, and to people watch. We were treated like gold!

Honestly, excellent value for money and a beautiful view of the port. The service is efficient and friendly, and the meal is good and generous... What more could you ask for? 😊 Oh yes, the kir is on the house, so we're 100% happy with this restaurant! 👌🔥🤗

It was perfect with a view of the port 👍 The waitress was very pleasant and professional!

Wonderful place, although touristic it's great! Great wine selection and wonderful oysters and seafood. Second time we were here and hopefully not the last

Thanks to Flo for the PS GTI server

The waitress' welcome was a bit off, to the point where we wondered whether we were going to stay or not before even taking our order, but having managed to make her smile, things improved, otherwise, nothing to report.

Excellent service and great food, this brasserie/restaurant is super good with a top-notch waiter (Flo) 😁

A warm welcome, excellent service, and what a view of the two towers!

We had lunch here and had a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. We decided to order a selection of tapas so that we could try a few different things, and we were really pleased with our choice. There was a good variety of dishes, everything was nicely presented, and it was great being able to share and taste several different flavours rather than just ordering one main meal. We also ordered the mussels. They didn't really do it for me personally, but I certainly wouldn't blame the restaurant for that — I think that's much more down to my taste buds! It's always good to try something different, even if you discover it's not quite for you. The service throughout our lunch was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without constantly being at the table. We never felt rushed and were able to sit back, relax and enjoy our food and the atmosphere. Overall, we had a really lovely lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The tapas were definitely the highlight for us and made for a great lunchtime meal. Good food, excellent service and a really pleasant experience all round. We would happily visit again if we're back in the area and would certainly recommend giving this place a try.

Cafe Leffe offers a fantastic view of the harbor and the city. We had the set menu and were very satisfied with the food and the service.
