Located on the town hall square, this is a very pleasant terrace where people aren't crowded! We received a very warm welcome, our aperitif order was served very quickly, and we decided to have lunch there! We had a very good meal, with little wait despite the terrace being full, and everything was perfectly set up! Excellent value for money. The staff were very pleasant and always smiling! I highly recommend it.

Nice restaurant. I would have liked to see more local products on offer, especially in the charcuterie and cheese sections 😁☺️

Friendly staff. Quick and efficient service. Mussels in Pineau sauce were good, but there weren't many.

The wait was a bit long (over 30 minutes), the mussels and fries were too small, and the fries were overcooked. The poke bowl contained canned pineapple that was too old (it had an alcoholic taste).

The flank steak was overcooked (medium when ordered rare) and significantly smaller than advertised, especially when the whole table ordered it; this was very noticeable. However, the service was excellent (served by the young woman).

Café Leffe

19/09/2026: We ate here several times while we were in La Rochelle and each time was wonderful and memorable. The weather was crazy that week so we enjoyed sunny days that were fun and relaxing, overcast days, and one particular day there was a serious downpour and every person in the area ran into this cafe for shelter to the point that there was standing room only. The staff did their utmost to make sure everyone had a drink and this merry band of weather-refugees turned into an international party of merry souls. They do the best mussels with this smokey flavor that I’ve had anywhere in the world! Fabulous place to get a drink, have a meal, and to people watch. We were treated like gold!
16/09/2026: Honestly, excellent value for money and a beautiful view of the port. The service is efficient and friendly, and the meal is good and generous... What more could you ask for? 😊 Oh yes, the kir is on the house, so we're 100% happy with this restaurant! 👌🔥🤗

27/09/2026: We had a good meal; the mussels were very good, although some were a little small. The selection of crepes was varied, with something for everyone.
