Coming from Nîmes and passing through Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, we were determined to eat here.
The welcome, the location, and the food were all top-notch.
Everything was fully booked, but the owner found us a table between seatings inside, even though we hadn't made a reservation for January 1st.
Thank you so much for awakening our taste buds!
I highly recommend this place; it deserves its reputation.

A real gem for our first visit to Saint Jean Pied de Port! Despite being very busy, the welcome was friendly and warm, the service quick and cheerful, and the dishes delicious and seasonal. The wood pigeon salmis, for example, was to die for… Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

Stopping in for afternoon tea, we enjoyed the incredible terrace overlooking the Nive River in the sunshine.
The Basque cake, made with cream only here, is very good, with plenty of cream. Good hot chocolate. A few ice cream options. Perfect service, professional yet friendly. Thank you.

We had a blast! The daily specials and suggestions: veal with mushrooms, foie gras sauce, and truffle mash, or even lamb sweetbreads... A real treat!
The lovely staff and the idyllic setting under the sun... fantastic!

Arriving last night from Normandy, we found this little cafe/restaurant. A place not to be missed. Very generous portions. The fried calamari is delicious (never tasted such good) very warm welcome and more than reasonable prices.
